Natasha and Ali designed their Lake Tahoe wedding to pay homage to Ali’s roots in Persia. But even King Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like Natasha.

Outfitted in a dress by Romona Keveza, Natasha looked like a Greek goddess. She matched the part with effortless grace, reciting her vows in the native tongue of Ali’s family and dancing in the Persian classical tradition that emphasizes hand motions and upper body undulations.

Their ritual-rich ceremony, known as an Aghd, incorporated cultural elements symbolizing sweetness, prosperity and fertility. You can read about the details in this feature on Style Me Pretty, written by our friend and frequent collaborator, Merrily Rocco, who coordinated the wedding.

Thanks to Natasha and Ali for the opportunity to document such a unique and beautiful event and to Max Whittaker for augmenting my coverage.
