Over the last couple of years, it’s been a privilege working with photographers Erin and Ben Chrisman and being a part of their daily lives. They are an inseparable team, sharing a love for each other unlike anything I’ve witnessed.

Erin and Ben’s warm, friendly personalities and unique energy also have a way of drawing others to them. As a testimony to this, roughly one third of their guests were former clients who have become some of Erin and Ben’s closest friends over the years.

As Erin and Ben walked hand-in-hand down the aisle, Erin could not contain her tears as guests welcomed them to their ceremony with a standing ovation. Poetic words from their officiant and dear friend, Sam, echoed off the candle-lit, 18th-century ruins of Hacienda Uayamon, giving way to tearful vows during what was the most stunning and heartfelt ceremony I have yet attended.

Later, under the boughs of two intertwined Ceiba trees, Ben and Erin first danced to an acoustic version of Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” performed by musician and close friend, Billy Simons. They partied with their guests amongst the colorfully-lit ruins to the mixes of DJ Risk One, who kept the lively, and often-times hilarious, celebration going until the early-morning hours.

Billy was nice enough to record his version of “Umbrella” for their slideshow, which you can view here: Erin & Ben Chrisman’s Hacienda Uayamon Wedding

Erin and Ben photographed my wedding last July, and it was an honor to return the favor.

To the newly-weds: I am hardly alone when I say I love you guys and wish you life-long happiness together. Congratulations!
