Julie and James both work in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, which may explain why they manage to look so cool, so effortlessly. We met for a portrait session at James’ family home in Santa Rosa, where they will be married later this year. The property boasts stunning golden hillsides dotted with oaks and a spectacular view of the valley below.

If Julie looks familiar, you may have seen Ben’s coverage of her sister Carrie’s wedding in 2008.

I was privileged to have the lovely Lonnie volunteer as photo assistant for me.

Tina and Jeff’s wedding took place at the Thomas Fogarty Winery in the scenic mountains of Woodside California.

Thank you to Mauricio, who took many of the photos you see here.

Alena and Geoff’s carnival/circus themed wedding at the beautiful and newly renovated Granada Theater in downtown Santa Barbara was certainly the most unique wedding I have witnessed yet. Considering how Alena and Geoff found each-other while attending Burning Man, nothing could have better suited their love for dressing up other than a wedding that consists of everything from guests participating in their favorite carnival themed attire, to performers who juggled on stilts and performed puppet shows.

Thanks to Mauricio for coming down to Santa Barbara with me.

Buu and Brian live in downtown Sacramento, but came into Berkeley for their engagement session. They said they didn’t want any “cookie cutter engagement photos,” so we tried really hard to be creative as possible. Thanks Buu and Brian for spending the day exploring the campus with me!
