Grace and Stephen | 04.21.2010

30 Pictures / 32 Comments

Grace and Stephen’s wedding brought us two of our favorite things to photograph at a wedding – tears and lots of dancing. Emotions ran high all day and night, from Grace and Stephen’s first look before the ceremony to the touching toast by Stephen’s dad about how proud he is of Stephen. After that, the tears went away and the dancing exploded to the 80’s music of their DJ, Dave. And during the reception, we also learned that Stephen is quite the photographer himself, and is the creator of Google Maps’ Street View, which is probably the most expansive photo project ever imagined.

Grace and Stephen’s wedding was also our only San Francisco wedding for this year, so we’re happy to have had such a fun, spirited event on our home turf.

Audrey and Ben | 04.11.2010

New Orleans is one of our favorite places in the world. Whenever we’re there, we just can’t get enough of the music, the food, the culture, and the perpetual carnival that is Bourbon Street.

We returned to the Crescent City to document Audrey and Ben’s wedding, one of the most beautiful events we have ever photographed. And as a bonus, we shared the trip with our extremely talented filmmaker friend Vlad.

Audrey and Ben both grew up in Louisiana and met through the restaurant industry, where Ben is the chef de cuisine at the Palace Cafe in New Orleans. Their wedding weekend was very New Orleans, with a Friday night crawfish boil, a ceremony in the historic Peristyle at the City Park, and a lively jazz procession after the ceremony.

Below are a few of our favorite photographs from the wedding day, and we’re probably equally as excited as Audrey and Ben are to see what Vlad will produce from their weekend. Vlad also made the wedding film from Audrey’s sister Mullady’s wedding in the Bahamas last year, which you can see on his website.

Beach House SOLD OUT! | 04.04.2010

3 Pictures / 14 Comments

UPDATE: We are SOLD OUT. Thank you to everyone who signed up. Your trust means everything to us, and we’re going to do everything we can to make this the best learning experience you have ever had.

After working on this for months, we are finally ready to announce our first, and most likely only, workshop in the United States this year.

We chose a beautiful house on the beach in the Outer Banks, North Carolina, so we can all be under one roof the entire time. We love being completely consumed by photography, and this it the best way to do it – without distractions or reasons to go anywhere else. We have so much planned, we have no idea how we are going to fit it all in, including special guests and lots of shooting time. Sound fun? Click the link below to read all the details and to sign up.
